Van Halen on the Electric Bassoon? What?
Thanks a lot! I love weird 🧡 Tip: The Smile, Apparat, Rival consoles✌️
What a selfindulgent critical approach...Shallow superlatives overload 🥴
not sure if you are aware of the hungarian prog scene like Masfel or Korai Orom, Neo, also UK - Three Trapped Tigers, american CHON?
Thanks for your work...One of the few places to find music that makes my soul smile.
Flying Machines sounds a lot like a vanilla I have from the 1980s, a bad called Red. Only made one album, but sounds so much like this, even down to the tone of the lead guitar.
Brave. Enjoy yourself.
Amazing all. thanks
I just discovered your channel and I'm so glad! I too, like unusual and out of the norm music as well.
Leonardo is a great guy. : ) ¡MoonJunistas of the world Unite! ps. I googlemapped the Moonjune address: the *door* alone to the MJ place is worth the trip.
Funny, i just ordered a pili of Stephan Thielen and of 21st Cent Sch Band.. easy listening but very rewarding.
Music?
If you have to ask… Just skip to 10 minutes in.
i still don’t t understand why anyone could be interested in watching someone else listening to music…
I don’t get it either. I was too embarrassed to do it, but I wanted to get a video out and showcase all the stuff I’ve enjoyed. Makes ZERO sense to me and I’ve gotten almost 2,000 subscribers from it. UA-cam is weird, man.
I have never seen a video from this channel before and I’m 2:00 minutes in and I have to say: that “chaotic banjo prog” really sucks IMO. I like many “out there” types of music but man the “aesthetic” of the music has to count for something. That shit wasn’t pleasing to the ears at ALL. Edit: 5:40 in… is this just a shitpost? These songs sound like literal jokes lol
Yep. Literal jokes.
Nope.
Yep.

Tritonic harmonisation in Locrian mode? What a bunch of hardcore badasses!
Wow! A bonafide musical comedian, right here in the comment section! Tell us more jokes
I loved Brekky Boy. Reminds me of Tangents. Both from Sydney.
I’ll have to check them out
I'm so pleased that SGM have not only retained their desire to create intricate, interesting and beautiful music, but are still pushing further than their previous works, just picked up 'Of the Last Human Being' on Bandcamp, this is no doubt going to be played to death, so much going on, there's bound to be new details I missed on the first 10 listens. Thank you 😊
Well, I now have a musical hole being filled I didn't know about - Flying Machines are just great ! I'll get back to your video soon :)
Fantastic. Glad you found something you like.
I am Soo happy that you are doing this. I'm a discordant music obsessor and am always hoping to be pulled into more deeply weird music. THANK YOU
Sweet! Thanks Daryl!
Frank and The Captain's kids are wonderful! Keep us informed!
FZ and Beefheart? Or is that the name of a band?
Really, really enjoyed every minute of this video. You blew my mind so many times. Thanks alot 👍👍
Very kind of you. Thanks. Glad you liked it
The algorithm did it right this time, great channel, amazing music, thank you for sharing all this great artists! Subscribed!
Thank you. Check our back catalog. Hundreds of videos.
The worst ones were some metal crap ... and Nate Smith
Hah! What do you listen to?
A lot of these sound like Marco minniman stuff
We share a lot of the same influences
Hahaha...great
GREAT video, thanks for the awesome recs
🙌🙌
Check my things out!

This is awesome!!!
Saw sleepy time gorilla museum 18 years ago...cool they are still, around
They just finished a 10-year hiatus. I am glad it's over.
Anyone who says new music is crap needs to check out Ren. He's an independent artist who is a master of all genres, plays multiple instruments, his lyrics have raised him to 'bardcore' status, and he produces all his own tracks. Do yourself a favour and give him a try, recommendations are 'Hi Ren' (the standard starter track, prepare yourself), 'The Money Game' (parts 1, 2 & 3), 'Love Music' (parts 1-4), and for beautifully haunting check out 'Chalk Outlines - live' and 'How To Be Me - live'. For a real story-teller live performance/s 'The Tales of Jenny and Screech'. His recent stuff has been more rap based, but as I said, he's a master of all genres. Give him a try, you probably won't be sorry.... www.youtube.com/@RenMakesMusic/videos
Pretty interesting stuff! Thanks for sharing
@@MakeWeirdMusic You should also check out his busking band 'The Big Push', they got the streets rocking wherever they played.
That Emma Rawicz track has got some crackin’ Frank Zappa-esque vibes!
Now that you mention it, I hear it!
I enjoy weird music ( example: ever heard of moon fog prophet?), but I end up writing songs that are 'normal'. Check them out, if you dare.
If I dare?!?! :)
@@MakeWeirdMusic Hahaha! Wasn't expecting that! Thanks.
Made it five minutes. "Look how sophisticated I am! I listen to discordant dumpster jazz! Behold my shit-eating grin!"
Nailed it! Here's your trophy: 🏆
Listened to most of it. Have to agree with your description; couldn’t have said it better myself...
elu ve elu divrei elokim hayim
😂
Thanks for sharing - some great stuff I'm sure I'm about to get obsessed with. May I recommend the Danish instrumental math group "Town Portal" - beautiful, heavy, minimal, technical and groovy.
Thanks!
It's good to see that there is still some creativity left in the musical world. The vast majority of music today, in particular in the "popular" genre is nothing more than resurrected Disco and STILL till sounds utterly dead and hollow and vapid and meaningless.
There’s tons! This is just stuff I haven’t featured before!
Thats not music thats noise.
Did you listen past the first 3 songs?
That Ethan Gruska record is stunning, En Garde is good too
En Garde is good, but Slowmotionary is astounding.
Wow, this makes soo much fun to listen at all that stuff, thank you very much. Cool. 😎😅
Amazing!
These first songs give me such a strong High Castle Teleorkestra vibe... Also, I see Flecktone-y goodness in that sidebar... Instant props!
30:55 "Calling" reminds me of two tracks by Bonobo: Cirrus Defender
I'll check 'em out
I go down weird rabbit holes on Spotify, I'm digging Angolan disco right now.
I like my chords and tend to stick with them lol, but there's so much I haven't done with technicality, texture. I haven't even come close to realizing what I wanted to do. I was too lazy. Could you imagine, if we are alive, how easy music would be with less lag (limbs lol)? This is gonna get wild. Thank you so much for sharing
Infinite opportunity! Go get it
I owe the uploader of this channel eternal gratitude for introducing me to the Seabrook Power Plant‼I'm still recovering from the SHOCK and AWE of this banjo prog attack! Thank you guys from SEABROOK POWER PLANT! We're not worthy, we're not worthy 😆😆😆... Mama mia😜😝🤪‼
I finally got the interview scheduled with him. Phew! Stay tuned
Where is the modular synth music? A good source of different music is Peter Gabriels site. Musicians from all over the world. Thanks for sharing a few new artists with us.
For modular synth music, I will refer you to Ian Boddy. I interviewed him sometime ago. Since this video has garnered so many new subscribers, I think I’ll make a playlist of great artists. I’ve already interviewed or featured that people have probably missed.

you need to check out Shobaleader One!
Hah, awesome!! I didn't know Squarepusher was doing this
Y'all really should check out SATANIQUE SAMBA TRIO 🤘
